Wallbloc – The Simple Way To Build Walls
Wallblocs are 1800mm, 900mm, 600mm long x 600mm wide x 600mm high x 300mm wide. Ideal for reinforced earth wall facings, temporary buildings and many other uses. The weight of each block is in the table below. The blocks are manufactured using our eco mix concrete. For aggressive environments we can also manufacture the blocks using C50 Concrete for improved chemical resistance.
Wallbloc R- Reinforced Block Walls
Wallbloc R are 1800mm, 900mm, 600mm long x 300mm wide x 600mm high. They are manufactured with ducts cast into them that are set to one side. The offset gives improved structural performance. Rebar is then threaded through the blocks and cement grouted in place. This construction creates a cantilever retaining wall that uses the foundation as part of the structural element. EarthBloc – Reinforced Earth Facing Block
Retaining walls higher than 4.2m become more expensive using the gravity retaining wall solution. Our next solution is a reinforced earth wall.
In the image to the right, the block of earth directly behind the wall is the reinforced earth wall. This is constructed by laying earth fill in layers with a geo mat between each layer. The reinforced earth wall then becomes the structural element that will retain the earth behind it.
The Virtabloc acts as the facing to the wall and protects it from the elements and erosion.
The block face is help in position using the geo mat that is embedded within the earth wall and wraps around a tie bar cast into the block.
The walls can be designed for up to a 150 year life span.
