Waterproof Bund Walls
Virtablocs and Stackablocs can be used to construct a range of waterproof bund walls. The blocks act as the structural resistance to the fluid load.
A front kicker is cast within the construction resist slip. Once the walls are constructed a water proof membrane is laid and protected as detail in the construction stages below.
We can design a large range of concrete block bund walls.
Construction stages – Waterproof Bund Walls
Stage 1 – Cast the main raft
Stage 2 – Build the block walls
Stage 3 – Cast the front kicker to stabilise the blocks
Stage 4 – Lay the water proof membrane
Stage 6 – Lay 75mm concrete to protect the waterproof membrane. Alternatively lay a clean stone capping layer to absorb spillage content if in the design
Stage 7 – Construct an internal wall in bricks or blocks to protect the water proof membrane
